The Nutty Irishman & Craft Beer

We are The Nutty Irishman.  While we may not be considered your typical craft beer place, our passion and hobbies include finding new craft beers and flavors to introduce to our bar.

The Nutty Irishman Farmingdale has 22 taps that are constantly flowing local Long Island craft beers, European Imports, and everything in between.

Some things you should know:
•We have The Brewers Collective on tap!
The Brewers Collective is a nano brewery consisting of 9 brewers looking to establish a name for themselves and carve out a spot in the Long Island beer community by bringing their wit, skills and most importantly, uncompromisingly excellent small batch beer to the table.

•We’re getting some beer from The Brickhouse Brewery THIS WEEK…no one else has it yet so you’re definitely going to want to come in & taste it.  It’s going to be a nitro cream ale aged in Jameson barrels…told you you’re definitely going to want to try it!

•Recently, our novice craft beer enthusiast/manager has teamed up with Greenport to create a brew specifically for his wedding.  Come try the Greenport Unity IPA! The Greenport Unity IPA is brewed with loads of simcoe hops, centennial hops, and target hops. It is currently only available here at The Nutty Irishman, the Greenport tasting room, and other very limited locations.

•We’re going to be working on a very special event for Long Island Craft Beer Week.
•Expect to always see local breweries such as Blue Point Brewing Company, Greenport Harbor Brewing Co., Long Ireland Beer Company, and other favorite Long Island Breweries.

•Coming soon: 64 oz Growlers!  Come on in and either purchase a Nutty Irishman growler (or bring your own) and fill up any one of our 22 craft beers to take home!

We are always looking for limited release and small batch beer, so if there’s anything you’d like to see on tap, please let us know!

Barrier Saazsquash (7.7 ABV)
Butternut squash ale brewed with ginger, honey, and Sichuan peppercorns.

Blue Point Rastafar Rye (5.75 ABV)
A rye pale ale created specifically for the 5th annual Blue Point Cask Festical.

Blue Point Winter Ale (7.0 ABV)
You might not look forward to the colder months of the year, but this brew is guaranteed to warm your insides.  Careful, it may even warm your heart towards Winter as a whole.  Our Winter Ale is a hearty and robust amber ale.  Brewed to chase away the chill of cool Winter nights, it’s created with pale, Vienna, crystal, and chocolate malts.  This uncommon amber is brewed with a tasty balance of malt and hops, only during the cold months of the year.  One of out most popular seasonal specialties, just remember this special ale is gone with the Winter’s winds.

Bud Light (4.2 ABV)
Introduced nationally in 1982, Bud Light is brewed with a malt and hops ratio different from Budweiser for a distinctively crisp taste with fewer calories!

Delirium Tremens (8.5 ABV)
The allusion to the pink elephant a consequence of a delirium tremens the day before, is not a chance.  The reasons are multiple: first of all, the beer possesses a degree f high alcohol; and, on the other hand, irresponsible consumers sometime suffer devastating effects of a too much consumption of alcohol.  This beer became the classic of the brewery, appreciated especially for its qualities degustatives, as well as the mystery that hides itself behind the gray partitions of his characteristic bottle.  This blond perfect one stresses the qualities of an exceptional houblon as well as of different clear malts.  The conclusion combines a bitter and peppered tone without aggressiveness.  She represents strong blond beer under its better appearance.

Blood Orange Pale Ale (5.0 ABV)
Remember back to the first time you ventured across the Great South Bay via the Robert Moses Causeway on your way to the beach? Well, we’ve captured that feeling in our Robert Moses Pale Ale! This well-balanced, sessionable American-style pale ale will keep you refreshed all year round.  Whether you’re fishing on your boat, sitting around a campfire, or relaxing in your back yard, the fresh aroma of American hops paired with the crisp taste of the pale malts will bring you back every time.  We’ve taken the Robert Moses Pale Ale that you’ve come to enjoy and took it to the next level with the addition of blood oranges to give it a slightly more citrus character with the right amount of bitterness you’d expect from an American-style pale ale.

Greenport Harbor Ale (5.3 ABV)
Essentially an American Pale Ale with a twist.  Brewed with 50% wheat malt to proceed a smooth and subtly sweet base to showcase the Amarillo hop and all its orangey citrus glory.

Guinness (5.0 ABV)
The unmistakable deep-dark color, the crisp hint of roasted barley, the fresh breeze of hops, and he refreshing bite all make for the bittersweet regard.

Left Hand Nitro Milk Stout (6.0 ABV)
This English style of beer, also known as Sweet Stout or Cream Stout, first appeared in London in the late 1800‘s. The early brewers touted the health benefits of the milk sugar in this beer, which today relates mainly to the increased amount of calories (no real health benefits…sorry). The milk sugar adds a well-rounded sweetness to this dark beer and m akes it an outstanding, year’ round stout.

Negra Modelo (6.0 ABV)
This dark Vienna-munich type beer has had extraordinary acceptance in international markets.  Exports to the U.S. began in the early 80s and have since attained great success in Europe, Australia, Central and South America.

Redhook Audible Ale (4.7 ABV)
Redhook has teamed up with Dan Patrick to brew the ultimate craft beer for watching sports: plenty of flavor and aroma, and crushable enough to make you want another—without making you sloppy by halftime.  So, whether you’re watching the Dan Patrick Show in your mancave, or tailgating in a parking lot, it’s time to fill your passion bucket with crushable craft.  Listen to your thirst.  It’s Audible.

Shiner Bock  (4.4 ABV)
A distinctive, rich, full-flavored, deep amber-colored beer with an inviting smooth taste without excessive bitterness.

Spider Bite Boris the Spider (10.0 ABV)
Boris pours black and opaque like a moonless sky over Siberia.  Eight different malts bring a complex aroma and flavor of chocolate, coffee, and roasty sweetness.  And just incase the winter gets too cold, we brewed this giant spider to 10% ABV.  So grab your snifter and ushanka and enjoy.

St. Louis Framboise (4.5 ABV)
Fermented, yet tart raspberries which have a slightly bitter hop note at the finish.

Stella Artois Cidre (4.5 ABV)
Stella Artois Cidre is a crisp and refreshing Belgian cider made from handpicked apples.  Stella Artois Cidre is a sophisticated cider with full flavors of red apple and peachy, apricot hints, complimented in the background with a subtle flavor of spicy oranges and an almond flowery character.  This gives it a clean, refreshing, crisp, and sweet and sour taste, with a woody pleasing finish.

Stone India Pale Ale (6.9 ABV)
An “India Pale Ale” by definition is highly hopped and high in alcohol – you’ll find your Stone India Pale Ale to be true to style with a huge hop aroma, flavor and bitterness throughout.  If you’re a hop-head like us, then you’ll love our Stone India Pale Ale! Medium malt character with a heavy dose of over the top hops! Generous “dry hopping” gives this beer its abundant hop aroma and crisp hop flavor.

Victory Headwaters Pale Ale (5.1) ABV

Reflecting over the years as we approach our 15th anniversary here at Victory, we can’t help but be struck by the realization that Downingtown has made a great home for Victory. From the enthusiastic throngs that crowd our brewpub to enjoy our creative, flavorful beers and cuisine to the natural charms of the area, we are blessed with good fortune. As the active community contributor we’ve been over those years, we recognize our opportunity to both utilize and protect these assets. Chief among those assets is the pure water we receive from the East Branch of the Brandywine Creek that begins its journey to us just under 14 miles from where we brew with it. We’ll be celebrating this water (insert your lite beer joke here) with our anniversary beer, Headwaters Pale Ale, due to be released February 15, 2011. Now, considering that beer is the product of four simple ingredients and the three other than water rely on water for their existence, we’ve had a fair amount of latitude in paying homage to water in our beer. So, we’ve played all of our cards deftly, bringing the hops, malt and yeast in harmony, with our great local water as the conductor in Headwaters Pale Ale.

Victory Hop Devil IPA (6.7) ABV

Menacingly delicious, with the powerful, aromatic punch of whole flower American hops backed up by rich, German malts. HopDevil Ale® offers a roller coaster ride of flavor, coasting to a smooth finish that satisfies fully.
